Just to be sure, when I got ready to do it again, I did a patch test on my inner arm, which showed no reaction at all, so I thought i was safe. Also, my hairdresser uses foil, so the dye doesn't really touch the scalp. Still, a few hours afterwards, my ears started itching, burning and swelling, and so did my scalp; by the next day, my ears and scalp were oozing badly. By the way, the oozing isn't pus, it's the body's serous fluid trying to get the toxins out. It's a tell-tale sign of contact dermatitis.
The first time, I ended up in the emergency room; both times, I had to take two weeks of prednasone. I lost lots of hair, just falling out in big clumps, as if I had chemotherapy.
To top it all, my blood and urine samples showed really high amounts of lead and arsenic...
I almost needed a blood transfusion!! because of hair color!
PPD is petroleum-based, and thus can contain heavy metals.
I was lucky to run into a friend who had a similar reaction and told me about PPD. I did a search and found your article. Thank you so much for passing on this information!
CatherineCatherine Favrehttp://www.quantumenergeticscalifornia.comnoreply@blogger.com
